







In May 2025, SMM reported that the global iron ore shipments totaled 151.62 million mt, up 14.85 million mt MoM, representing an increase of 11%. Among them, the increase from Australia and Brazil was more significant. Shipments from Peru and Malaysia declined notably.
By mine, shipments from the four major mines all increased in May, with Vale showing a larger increase. However, shipments from Trafigura, CITIC Pacific, and Shougang Group decreased.
In May 2025, SMM reported that China's total iron ore port arrivals reached 110.32 million mt, up 5.81 million mt MoM, representing an increase of approximately 6%.
